Whitt's End collaborates together with pediatric dentists to create a care plan before and after tongue/lip/cheek revisions to help encourage proper healing, help with latch, and suck training if needed.

It is encouraged to see a lactation consultant before and after revisions even if everything seems "ok" to work on exercises to help strengthen the mouth and tongue muscles and to encourage proper motions.

Collaborative Therapy

Additional specialties that we collaborate care with include Speech Therapy to help with Oral Dysphagia (difficulty swallowing) and Occupational and Physical Therapy when muscle work is needed to improve eating patterns.

A referral is usually needed from infants primary care provider.
