We can meet and spend time prior to delivery discussing what may be needed to be successful with breastfeeding or pumping and/or providing breastmilk to your child at delivery.
We can create goals, review what to expect the first few days after delivery, as well as discuss what challenges may occur and how to navigate through them.
This will also give me a chance to review your medical history.
At any point during your nursing adventure, I will be there to help you. Our very first visit will be the longest visit as I review your medical and delivery history and examine your infants mouth, sucking patterns, and latch.

This appointment is an assessment of the infant's oral cavity, reflexes, oral ties, cranial-sacral, primitive reflexes, muscle tension, and spinal alignment.
We have found that a joint setting allows to provide better care resulting in quicker responses to hyperactive gag, breast preference, inability to latch on a bottle, pacifier, or the breast.
After your visit, each patient receives a detailed note including a customized plan which can be sent to you, the pediatrician, or OB provider to inform all parties on what was observed.
This will also allow your provider and/or pediatrician to be able to contact me if needed.
For BCBS, Excellus, Highmark, Tricare, and Anthem members, please verify coverage with The Lactation Network (a billing company we use) before scheduling by following this link.
